RETURN TO PLAY GUIDES

The MBYLL Board of Directors approved on March 25 the latest version of the MBYLL RETURN TO PLAY GUIDES for parents and for coaches. On March 22, the state of Massachusetts eventerd Phase IV, Step I of reopening and with it came the latest standards for youth sports play. Please read the guides below to ensure a safe and compliant start to the season. Points of emphasis (see guides for more details):

  • All players, coaches, officials and spectators MUST wear a mask at al times. A mask is defined as a cloth facial covering that completly covers the mouth and nose.
  • Spectator Limits: Each town program will be setting Spectator Limits based on their local board of health and field complex's spectator viewing areas needed to meet state standards. Please be aware that Spectator Limits will vary from town to town.
  • Face-Offs: Face-Offs will be allowed to start the season. For weeks 1-3, both coaches must agree to play with face-offs. If either coach does not want to play with Face-offs, there will be a coin toss to determine opening possession and following goals, the team scored upon will be given possession either at mid field or goal line extended.
